Resumen – Summary

El objetivo del proyecto es la mejora de la eficiencia energética de edificios públicos a lo largo de todo su ciclo de vida mediante el empleo de un sistema ecológico e innovador basado en productos de proximidad, como el corcho y el pino mediterráneo, que ayudarán a mejorar la rentabilidad de los aserraderos locales, la gestión de los montes y, por lo tanto, a emplear a población rural en España, Portugal y sur de Francia.

Más concretamente, en el marco de IMIP se diseñarán paneles de madera contralaminada (CLT) fabricados con madera de pino mediterráneo (pino carrasco y pino rodeno) y con una capa interior de corcho expandido para mejorar sus prestaciones como aislante térmico y corrector acústico. Los paneles serán modulares para facilitar su montaje y desmontaje así como su reutilización reduciendo los costos energéticos de demolición y el material de desecho. Además, serán testeados en la construcción y rehabilitación de cuatro edificios públicos reales, dos de ellos localizados en Valencia.

También en el marco del proyecto se desarrollará un plug-in para BIM (Building Information Modeling o software para el modelado de información para la edificación) que incorpore los beneficios del ciclo de vida de los materiales empleados como el stock de carbono.
