El proyecto LESS competition se enmarca dentro del programa «Climate Market Accelerator (CMA)» de la plataforma europea Climate KIC.
El programa CMA tiene como objetivo acortar el time-to-market de soluciones innovadoras que contribuyan a la adaptación y mitigación del cambio climático.
Dentro de este programa, el IVE gestiona este proyecto para apoyar la implementación y comercialización de soluciones que permitan reducir el consumo de energía en establecimientos comerciales, de modo que se genere una demanda de innovación por parte del mercado tal que promueva el desarrollo del avance tecnológico (market pull).
LESS Competition project is part of the Climate Market Accelerator Programme (CMA), a programme by the Climate KIC platform to foster the development of innovative products and services that help mitigate climate change and give new solutions such as these a boost over the barriers between them and the marketplace.
Within this programme, the IVE with the support of the CONSUM cooperative, launched an international competition to support innovative solutions aimed at improving stores’ energy performance. The competition’s challenges were identified on the basis of an analysis conducted by CONSUM with the goal of enhancing its stores’ energy performance. In addition, a network of other potential buyers was created.
